ASELSAN Expands Into Gulf With New Oman Office
Turkish defense industry leader ASELSAN inaugurated its new office in Muscat, Oman, on February 5, 2025. This strategic expansion marks another milestone in ASELSAN’s growing international footprint and demonstrates Turkey’s increasing influence in the global defense sector.
The establishment of the Muscat office adds to ASELSAN’s already impressive network of regional operations, which includes existing facilities in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. This expansion is particularly significant as it positions ASELSAN to better serve the growing defense needs of the Gulf Region while facilitating closer collaboration with local defense entities.
The new office will serve as a primary hub for showcasing ASELSAN’s extensive portfolio of over 500 products to Omani end users. This strategic location enables the company to provide enhanced customer support, streamlined procurement processes, and improved after-sales services to its regional clients.
The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished officials, including Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Defense Industries, and Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu, Turkey’s Ambassador to Oman. Their presence underscores the diplomatic importance of this initiative and highlights the strong bilateral relations between Turkey and Oman.
“This expansion demonstrates our commitment to providing advanced defense solutions and fostering partnerships in the Gulf Region. Our Muscat office will focus on marketing, business development, customer satisfaction, and comprehensive post-sales support for end users of ASELSAN technologies.”
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol emphasized the strategic importance of the new office during the ceremony, stating,
A key aspect of ASELSAN’s expansion strategy involves knowledge transfer and capacity building within the host nation. The company aims to leverage its extensive experience and expertise to support Oman’s strategic objectives while contributing to regional stability. This approach aligns with broader initiatives to enhance defense cooperation between Turkey and Gulf nations.
