ARES 76 Corvette Sets New Standards in Naval Warfare

The evolution of naval warfare has driven a shift toward more versatile, compact combat platforms. The ARES 76 CORVETTE, developed by ARES Shipyard, emerges as a groundbreaking solution that redefines maritime defense capabilities while operating with remarkable efficiency. This innovative vessel combines advanced technology with practical design to meet the growing demands of modern naval operations.

Advanced Combat Management

The ARES 76 CORVETTE distinguishes itself through its sophisticated integration of combat management systems. At its core, a compact battle management system works in concert with high-tech sensors and a 3-dimensional radar. ASELSAN’s electronic warfare system provides comprehensive threat detection capabilities, while its electro-optic system ensures precise visual threat identification.

The vessel’s tactical awareness is enhanced through Link-16 or Link-22 data links, enabling seamless force-wide communication and tactical image sharing. Additionally, the ship’s VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle provides extended surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.

Formidable Surface Combat Capabilities

The vessel’s surface warfare capabilities are anchored by an MKE-developed 76mm naval gun and dual 12.7mm remote-controlled weapon systems. Its primary striking power lies in the integration of ROKETSAN Atmaca guided missiles, with options for four to eight missiles providing an impressive 250-kilometer engagement range. This armament configuration establishes the ARES 76 CORVETTE as a significant threat to surface vessels across extensive operational areas.

Advanced Anti-Submarine Warfare Systems

Setting new standards in anti-submarine warfare, the vessel features the METEKSAN YAKAMOS hull-mounted sonar system, complemented by four ROKETSAN Orka lightweight torpedoes and a six-tube submarine defense rocket launcher. Supporting systems include an XBT launch system for water temperature profiling and underwater communication capabilities.

ULAQ Unmanned Systems Integration

The corvette’s capabilities are further enhanced by its integration of the ULAQ unmanned marine vehicle family. With the ability to deploy and recover two ULAQ vehicles through stern and side compartments, including the ULAQ KAMA expendable variant, the vessel extends its operational reach and versatility.

Comprehensive Air Defense Solutions

Air defense capabilities combine both active and passive systems, featuring MKE-developed chaff launchers and the ASELSAN GÖKSUR close air defense missile system, providing layered protection for both the vessel and accompanying platforms.
