UAE Edge Group Launches Autonomous Systems at IDEX

A state-owned UAE Edge Group Launches Autonomous Systems at IDEX 2023, these include several UAE-made options, with improved features that can be applied across the air, land, and maritime domains.

The Edge Group is a prominent advanced technology conglomerate that specializes in developing innovative, forward-thinking solutions for defense and other industries. With the goal of being a driving force for change and progress, the company has become a leading player in its field. With the advent of a new era of autonomous technology, Edge has introduced a total of 11 cutting-edge solutions designed for use in the air, land, and maritime domains.

ADASI JENIAH UCAV

JENIAH is an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) presented by Edge Group at IDEX2023, designed to offer a sophisticated and autonomous method for performing a variety of military operations. It has a significant payload, extended range, and high-speed capabilities. The UCAV is capable of carrying a maximum munition payload of 480 kg. Additionally, Edge displayed the accompanying Ground Control Station, which is specifically designed to monitor and operate the JENIAH system.

Air Truck

Edge Group also presented the Air Truck at IDEX2023, which is a robust logistics unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for high-risk or hazardous missions. It has a 500kg payload capacity and can operate via pre-programmed mission or live operator. It has has a maximum range of 360 km at a cruising speed of 120 km/h.

The Air Truck is ideal for military, security, and civilian deployment. Cargo is transported using a custom-designed Air Box, which allows for fast and efficient loading and unloading of cargo.

Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV)

At IDEX2023, Edge Group unveiled the RCV, an eight-wheeled vehicle equipped with amphibious capabilities, rapid acceleration, and a top speed of 130km/h. It also boasts a small turning radius and low profile, making it ideal for stealth operations.

his high-performance vehicle can be customized for either manned or unmanned operation, and can be powered by an all-electric or hybrid motor. The RCV’s versatility and adaptability make it suitable for a range of tactical challenges.

The multi-role platform can increase standoff distance from enemy units, thus reducing lethality risks. This feature enhances the platform’s ability to operate in diverse scenarios and perform a range of functions.

ADSB’s 170 Detector USV

Edge Group presented the ADSB 170 M-Detector at IDEX2023, which is a versatile platform that can be operated in either manned or unmanned configuration. The platform is capable of performing a range of surface warfare, transport, surveillance, and mapping missions for both naval and civilian forces.

It can operate for up to four hours in silent electric propulsion mode, or at speeds of up to 40 knots in diesel mode, making it a highly capable platform for a variety of applications.

The ADSB 170 M-Detector has a length of 17 meters, making it a sizeable platform that can accommodate a range of payloads and equipment for various missions.
