EDGE Awarded AED 4.7 Billion Contract for DESERT STING 25
EDGE Group’s HALCON entity has been awarded a significant contract worth AED 4.7 billion by the UAE Armed Forces for the supply of advanced precision-guided glide munitions. The DESERT STING 25 (DS-25), a light-weight, air-to-surface precision-guided munition designed by HALCON, can be deployed on multiple racks on aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
This contract award is a major milestone for EDGE, showcasing the company’s expertise and innovative approach to defense technology.
This new contract will provide the UAE Armed Forces with flexibility in air strike operations, and HALCON is proud to be contributing to the UAE’s “Make it in the Emirates” initiative by producing the DS-25 at their cutting-edge manufacturing facilities.
