Russia Acquires Armored Vehicles from UAE

Recent social media footage appears to confirm that the Russian military has acquired a new shipment of armored vehicles from the UAE-based manufacturer Streit Group. While details surrounding the procurement remain unclear, this development has drawn significant attention amidst heightened global scrutiny over arms transactions involving Russia.

The video circulating on Russian social media shows more than 20 armored vehicles based on modified Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford F-550 platforms. Specific models identified include the Spartan SUT, Cobra, and Cougar, all produced by Streit Group.

Streit Group has a track record of supplying modified armored vehicles to various countries and private military contractors. In the past, the company has partnered with Russia’s Military-Industrial Company (VPK) to design the Condor/VPK-Ural armored vehicles for Wagner Group operatives.

It remains uncertain whether the latest shipment of Streit Group vehicles was acquired directly from the manufacturer or through a third-party nation. Streit Group has promoted these armored models at international defense exhibitions, and some reports suggest the company has stockpiled hundreds of similar vehicles.
