BAMEX 2026 Set to Showcase Modern Defense Technologies in Africa
BAMEX 2026, which has become one of the most important defense and security gatherings in Africa, will be held in Bamako, the capital of Mali, from November 9 to 13.
Organized by the Turkish company The Peak Defense under the auspices of the Malian Presidency and Ministry of Defence, BAMEX 2026 will welcome visitors at the Bamako Exhibition and Convention Center (FEBAK). The Turkish Deputy Minister of National Defense is also expected to attend BAMEX 2026, alongside senior military officials and defense industry representatives.
First held last year with the participation of Turkish defense industry companies, BAMEX is expanding this year with a broader international presence. In addition to Türkiye, defense industry companies from several countries, primarily China, Germany, and Sudan, will participate in the fair.
Delegations from Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence and Presidency of Defence Industries will also attend the fair.
BAMEX 2026 will showcase a range of defense and security technologies. One of the highlights of the event will be the Demo Day program, where participating companies will demonstrate their products and systems in the field. Military and official delegations will have the opportunity to examine technologies at the stands and directly observe their performance in the field.
High-level military and official delegations from more than 40 African countries are expected to attend the fair. Türkiye will participate in BAMEX 2026 with more than 20 defense industry companies, including Baykar, ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, Skydagger, and Prontaron Defense. The Presidency of Defence Industries will also participate in the event.

Potential Areas of Collaboration
At a time when the changing defense and security needs of the Sahel region are gaining greater international attention, BAMEX 2026 will bring together defense technologies from different countries and the needs of the region on a single platform.
The needs of countries in the region in areas such as counterterrorism, border security, reconnaissance and surveillance, communications, and unmanned systems create potential opportunities for cooperation with defense industry manufacturers.
The fair is expected to highlight technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles and counter-UAV systems, electro-optical and reconnaissance-surveillance technologies, tactical communications and border security systems, armored land vehicles, weapons and ammunition systems, and personal protective equipment.
