Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS) has unveiled its new MUHASSIR Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2026 exhibition, marking the first international showing of Pakistan’s indigenous unmanned surface vehicle. Combat capability: The vessel mounts an automatic gun for offensive engagements and includes a dedicated explosives hatch, supporting secondary force-projection or loitering-strike profiles.

Sensors and reconnaissance: An Electro-Optical (EO) pod provides day and night targeting and tracking, backed by a navigational radar and an onboard weather station for real-time environmental monitoring.

Communications: High-gain RF antennas handle localized tactical communication, and the system architecture is fitted for SATCOM, meaning beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) command and data transmission can be added without a redesign.
