Turkish Army Expands Fleet With New ALTUG Vehicles
Turkish military vehicle manufacturer BMC has secured a significant contract with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) to deliver next-generation combat vehicles to bolster the capabilities of Turkiye land forces. The agreement marks another milestone in Turkiye ongoing efforts to modernize its military with domestically produced defense systems.

On February 24, 2025, BMC officially signed a contract with the SSB to supply 29 ALTUĞ 8×8 wheeled fighting vehicles to the Turkish Land Forces Command. This procurement falls under the 35mm Turreted Next-Generation Vehicles Project and includes comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services for the entire fleet, ensuring operational readiness and maintenance capabilities.
The ALTUĞ 8×8 represents the cutting edge of Turkish armored vehicle technology, designed specifically to meet the demands of modern warfare.
