ASELSAN’s KORKUT 35 Proves Mobile Air Defense Dominance in Live-Fire Showcase

ASELSAN recently put the operational capabilities of its KORKUT 35 Air Defense System on full display during an intensive live-fire demonstration. Watched closely by defense delegations from 12 nations, the showcase highlighted why modern mobile forces urgently need agile, precise, and cost-effective low-altitude air defense.

Meeting the Threat of Modern Swarms and Drones

The battlefield has changed. Today, armed forces face unpredictable threats ranging from fast cruise missiles to persistent loitering munitions. During the trials, the KORKUT 35 system tackled multiple complex scenarios designed to mimic real combat conditions:

• Versatile Target Engagement:The system proved its effectiveness against fighter aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and air-to-ground missiles.
• Counter-UAS Specialization: A major focus was placed on neutralizing modern hazards, successfully locking onto and destroying fixed-wing, delta-wing, and mini/micro UAVs as well as kamikaze drones.

Precision on the Move: Firing Without Stopping

One of the standout highlights of the demonstration was KORKUT 35’s advanced fire-on-the-move capability.

Integrated onto an agile 8×8 tactical wheeled vehicle platform, the system successfully tracked and engaged moving targets while both the vehicle and the threat were actively in motion. In a separate ground-engagement scenario, the platform displayed exceptional firing accuracy and tight shot dispersion against a moving ground target, reinforcing its versatility in dynamic combat environments.
