ASELSAN’s GÖKBERK Mobile Laser Weapon System has demonstrated impressive capabilities in recent tests, successfully eliminating First-Person View (FPV) drones that have emerged as critical threats in contemporary warfare. This breakthrough represents a significant advancement in Turkey’s defense technology sector, particularly in countering unmanned aerial threats that have become increasingly prevalent in modern conflicts.

What sets GÖKBERK apart is its sophisticated dual-approach to threat neutralization. The system employs an indigenous high-quality laser source for “hard kill” elimination of targets, physically destroying drones with precision-directed energy. Developed with contributions from key industry partners including TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, the system represents Turkey’s push toward defense industry autonomy, with all major subcomponents designed and manufactured domestically.
