ASELSAN Signs Key Defense Deals at Dubai Airshow 2025

ASELSAN strengthens strategic partnerships at Dubai Airshow 2025 through significant contracts and collaborations with Emirati defense companies, showcasing Turkiye’s growing influence in Middle Eastern defense markets. As ASELSAN strengthens strategic partnerships at Dubai Airshow 2025, the company demonstrated its technological prowess across avionics, electro-optics, radar systems, and precision-guided munitions, solidifying its position as a leading global defense technology provider.

Turkiye’s premier defense electronics manufacturer finalized multiple agreements during the prestigious aviation exhibition held November 18 in Dubai. ASELSAN concluded a contract with CALIDUS for supplying the complete Avionics Suite for WX-80 Cloud Seeding Aircraft, addressing the UAE’s ongoing environmental and water security challenges. Additionally, the company secured another contract for integrating the Enhanced YAMGÖZ 360 Situational Awareness System onto 8×8 WAHASH armored vehicles, enhancing ground force capabilities.

Beyond immediate contracts, ASELSAN signed forward-looking Memoranda of Understanding with EDGE Group subsidiaries. The agreement with HALCON focuses on collaborative development of electro-optical technologies, combining Turkish engineering expertise with Emirati manufacturing capabilities. A separate MoU with ADASI targets advanced airborne payload systems, positioning both companies to jointly develop cutting-edge surveillance and reconnaissance solutions for unmanned platforms.

The company’s exhibition booth featured an impressive array of defense innovations reflecting five decades of engineering excellence. ASELSAN presented advanced avionics solutions designed for both manned aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, featuring fully digital, mission-ready cockpit architectures that enhance pilot situational awareness and reduce workload during complex operations.

Tactical Data Link Solutions (T-LINK) were prominently displayed, demonstrating secure, high-speed communication capabilities across multiple operational domains including air, land, and maritime environments. These systems enable real-time information sharing between allied forces, critical for modern network-centric warfare scenarios increasingly common in Middle Eastern military operations.

The ASELFLIR 500 Electro-Optical System attracted significant attention for its superior reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting performance in challenging environmental conditions. Equally impressive was the TOYGUN Electro-Optical Sensor System, which recently completed successful testing aboard BAYKAR’s KIZILELMA unmanned combat aerial vehicle, demonstrating Turkiye’s integrated approach to developing complementary defense technologies.

ASELSAN displayed its TOLUN All Up Round Munition Family, offering precision strike capabilities adaptable to various platforms and mission requirements. The HEWS Electronic Warfare Self-Protection Suite showcased advanced countermeasure capabilities protecting aircraft from radar-guided and infrared-seeking threats, essential for surviving in contested airspace.

The MURAD Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar represented cutting-edge detection and tracking capabilities, providing multi-target engagement capacity and resilience against sophisticated electronic warfare attacks. This radar technology positions Turkish-made platforms competitively against global alternatives while offering operational independence from foreign suppliers.

ASELSAN President and CEO Ahmet Akyol characterized Dubai Airshow as an ideal gateway for fostering new collaborations and presenting state-of-the-art defense technologies. He emphasized that strategic agreements with regional partners like CALIDUS, ADASI, and HALCON advance technology cooperation while contributing to partners’ operational readiness and defense autonomy key priorities for Gulf states seeking reduced dependence on Western defense suppliers.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, ASELSAN’s participation at Dubai Airshow 2025 underscores the company’s evolution from a domestic electronics manufacturer into a globally competitive defense technology innovator. Akyol reaffirmed the company’s commitment to shaping defense’s future through continuous innovation, proven reliability, and expanding international partnerships across diverse geographic markets.
