Pakistan Navy Hosts AMAN-25 Multinational Maritime Exercise

The Pakistan Navy officially commenced the 9th Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-25 with a grand and vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard in Karachi. The event witnessed the simultaneous hoisting of flags from all participating nations, symbolizing international unity and cooperation. Senior military representatives, foreign observers, diplomats, and officials from the Pakistan Armed Forces attended the inauguration.

Naval Chief’s Message On AMAN-25

During the ceremony, a message from Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, was delivered. He extended a warm welcome to all participants and emphasized the significance of the exercise in fostering global maritime security. Highlighting Pakistan Navy’s proactive role in the Arabian Sea, he referenced key initiatives such as the Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP). He further noted that the AMAN Dialogue, introduced as an adjunct to the exercise, underscores the international community’s confidence in Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime peace and stability.

Pakistan Navy’s Commitment to Maritime Security

Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, addressed the gathering, reiterating the Navy’s contributions to collaborative maritime security. He stressed the importance of enhanced interoperability among participating nations and urged collective efforts in achieving the exercise’s strategic objectives. Acknowledging the presence of multiple nations, he lauded their participation as a testament to the shared commitment to peace and stability at sea.

Scope and Significance of AMAN-25

AMAN-25 marks the ninth edition of this multinational exercise, scheduled to take place from February 7-11, 2025. The event has attracted participation from approximately 60 countries, including naval ships, aircraft, special operations forces, and observers.

A new addition to this year’s exercise is the inaugural AMAN Dialogue, set to take place from February 9-10, 2025. This platform aims to further enhance discussions on maritime security, fostering deeper cooperation and understanding among international naval forces.

The motto of AMAN-25, ‘Together for Peace,’ continues to symbolize the spirit of global collaboration, strengthening maritime ties and reinforcing a collective commitment to securing the world’s oceans.
