ASELSAN Secures Over $1B In Exports By End Of 2024

Turkish defense giant ASELSAN marked a historic milestone in 2024, securing export contracts exceeding $1 billion and significantly expanding its global presence. The company’s remarkable performance demonstrates its growing influence in the international defense market and progress toward its ambitious 2030 strategic goals.

The company achieved unprecedented success in international sales, with direct exports doubling to $217 million compared to 2023. Including indirect exports through various military platforms, ASELSAN’s total export volume reached $508 million, highlighting its strengthening position in global markets. This expansion included new contracts with seven first-time customer countries, extending its reach to 92 nations globally. The company also established offices in six additional countries, bringing its international presence to 20 nations.

A standout achievement was the successful launch of the ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical system, which secured contracts from 16 countries in its first production year. The company’s portfolio of first-time exports expanded significantly to include GÖZDE and KGK guidance kits, CENK naval radars, and FERSAH anti-submarine sonar systems. ASELSAN further demonstrated its technological prowess by developing Ku-Band and X-Band LOCUS communication payloads for TÜRKSAT-6A, Turkey’s first domestic communication satellite.

ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol attributed the company’s success to its dedicated workforce and highlighted the significance of climbing five places in the Defense News Top 100 list. The company’s strategic vision, dubbed “aselsaneXt2030,” emphasizes technological innovation, operational efficiency, and mission-focused solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships across global markets.

The development of communication payloads for Turkey’s first domestic communication satellite showcases ASELSAN’s capability to provide comprehensive solutions across all operational domains, from undersea operations to space communications. This achievement reinforces the company’s position as a leading innovator in defense technology.
